You know how sometimes you pick up a book off of one of those gift book tables, and it reads like a bad Hallmark card? This is NOT one of those books. Through poetry Kevin beautifully expresses the joys and frustrations of teaching. This book would make a great gift for a teacher, but maybe even more so for a student. I highly recommend this book.
I'm quite biased in that I am a teacher and have also known the author since we were in the 5th grade.
All that aside, if you are teacher, know a teacher, or have ever been inspired by a teacher, you will enjoy this volume.
Cleverly written poems about life in the classroom. I found myself laughing out loud a few times. Even more special, I know the author, having gone to middle and high school with him. Great job, Kevin!
